Sophie Rambert est une artiste française vivant et travaillant au Mans, reconnue pour ses dessins à la pierre noire mettant en scène le corps humain.
« Corps seul et nu vêtu d’espace. Chez elle, diversion esthétisante et divertissement de voyeur n’existent pas. Formidable exemple d’authenticité créatrice. Le corps est hétérogène, duel et pluriel. Son travail a été présenté dans plusieurs galeries en France et en Europe, telles que les galeries GNG (Paris), Hervé Lancelin (Luxembourg), Schwab Beaubourg (Paris), Anne Cros (Pézenas) et Roussard (Paris), ainsi que dans de nombreuses foires internationales d’art contemporain, notamment DDessin (Paris) et Art On Paper (Bruxelles). Ses œuvres ont également été exposées dans diverses institutions, dont l’Espace d’Art Chaillioux (Fresnes), le Château des Bouillants (Dammarie-les-Lys) et le Fonds International d’Art Actuel (Le Mans).
Sophie Rambert est lauréate de plusieurs prix, dont le Prix de dessin de la foire internationale d’art contemporain ArtNîm en 2010, la Toile d’or de la Fédération Nationale de la Culture Française en 2013 et en 2019 le Prix Roger Deverin de la Fondation Taylor. En 2015, elle est finaliste du Luxembourg Art Prize.
Ses œuvres font partie des collections de la ville du Mans (Musée de Tessé) et du Fond International d’Art Actuel au Mans.
Son travail illustre également plusieurs ouvrages de poésie.
Biography
Sophie Rambert is a French artist living and working in Le Mans, renowned for her black stone drawings of the human body.

Her drawings has been shown in several galleries in France and Europe, including GNG (Paris), Hervé Lancelin (Luxembourg), Schwab Beaubourg (Paris), Anne Cros (Pézenas) and Roussard (Paris), as well as at numerous international contemporary art fairs, notably DDessin (Paris) and Art On Paper (Brussels). Her artworks has also been exhibited in various institutions, such as the Chaillioux Art Space (Fresnes), the Castle of Bouillants (Dammarie-les-Lys) and the International Contemporary Art Fund (Le Mans).
Sophie Rambert has won a number of awards, including the Drawing Prize at the ArtNîm international contemporary art fair in 2010, the Golden Canvas from the National Federation of French Culture in 2013 and the Roger Deverin Prize from the Taylor Foundation in 2019. In 2015, she was a finalist for the Luxembourg Art Prize.
Her work is included in the collections of the city of Le Mans (Tessé museum) in Le Mans and the International Contemporary Art Fund in Le Mans.
Her work also illustrates several books of poetry.
